Mayor John Rey Tiangco led the blessing and inauguration of the 69th bombastik station of Navotas at C4 Road, Brgy. Bagumbayan South (BBS). In his message, Tiangco said the city intends to build more pumping stations to boost its flood control and mitigation system. He also reminded the public to observe proper waste disposal. “Make proper waste disposal a habit. Practice segregation and take out your trash only when our garbage trucks are already in your area. This will help prevent garbage from being scattered and from going into our canals,” he explained. “Our bombastik stations can only function effectively if our canals and drainages are free of trash or debris. Let us do our part in keeping our environment clean and making sure that Navotas is safe from flooding,” he said. BBS (C4) 3 pumping station features an axial flow submersible engine that can pump 0.60 cubic meters of water per second and can perform well even during intense monsoon rains, typhoons, and high tides. Also present during the inauguration were Department of Public Works and Highways Malabon-Navotas District Engineer Aristotle Ramos, Vice Mayor Tito Sanchez and city council, and barangay chairpersons.
