Despite dropping in recent weeks, diesel is still up 68% over the past 12 months.

Data Did you Know: The rise in the average price of diesel seems to be slowing down. The price per gallon has actually dropped a bit, from a peak of $5.81 the week of June 20, down to  $5.57 this week. However, that price is still up 68% over the past 12 months.
